Tax-deductible giving. All donations to Rainforest2Reef are tax-deductible to persons paying taxes in the United States. While our mission is to conserve land and coral reefs in Mexico, Rainforest2Reef is a United States-based organization that uses the donations collected worldwide to conserve the rainforest. As is the case with other US-based charities with worldwide operations, Rainforest2Reef puts this nation's generosity to work for the benefit of all humanity. When you give to Rainforest2Reef, you will automatically receive receipt upon your donation.

Secure online transactions through PayPal. Giving to Rainforest2Reef online is always a secure transaction. When you make your donation to Friends of Calakmul through PayPal, your information goes directly from you to our credit card processing firm. Your credit card number is never stored by our website. We do not currently support online donations outside of the PayPal system.

Respect for your privacy. We respect our supporters’ confidentiality and will not ever redistribute your information in any way, to any organization or person. If you indicate that you would like to receive e-mail correspondence from us, we will send you periodic emails to report back on how your donation is working to save the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time.

Tangible results through your donation. Whenever you give to Rainforest2Reef, the money from your donation is used to protect land and coral reefs within the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor in several different ways.

• Land and coral reef protection. By signing conservation contracts with local communities within the Selva Maya, Rainforest2Reef makes it economically viable for communities to become stewards of the rainforest. Click here to find out more about these programs.
• Carbon offsets. Through Rainforest2Reef, everyone can fight global warming by purchasing carbon offsets. Carbon offsets are investments you make in projects that “offset” the carbon you are releasing through your car, air travel and other activities. Click here to find out more about carbon offsets.
• Wildlife research. In order to save the threatened jaguars, birds, and other wildlife of the rainforest, we need to know more about these threatened species. Rainforest2Reef is currently collaborating with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and Unidos Para la Conservación research projects on both jaguars and migratory birds within the biological corridor.
• Environmentally friendly business. In addition to the conservation contracts we sign with local communities, we are promoting other environmentally friendly income-generating business opportunities within the rainforest. In this way, we will ensure that conservation of the rainforest is a self-sustaining and economically viable option for generations to come.

• Purchase a money order. If you do not have a credit card, you can purchase a money order in your country’s currency and send it to our mailing address. Our bank will then convert your payment into dollars and deposit that amount.
